How do we stand out?
The world of adult learning has so much potential. The innovations in this industry combined with the backbone of decades of tradition and history has created such an exciting environment. Equal parts writer/ designer/ educator, training and development aligns with who I am and what I care about.
To create a culture of learning, to impact a growth-mindset, to impact results with experiences that don’t feel like training, and to blur the line between what has been divided between communication, marketing, training, and change management, that’s where I want to be.
I’ve always enjoyed getting the most out of the tools available to me. Hopefully this showcase of my work encapsulates that passion.
Storyline Examples:
Here is a creative use of Storyline. I created what acts as an interactive portal for information regarding a shift in principles of the employee experience.
This example showcases a more traditional use of Storyline, but done with a modern tone and style. Here I present about the mindset of safety and how to have it be part of every day life.
Another unique way to use Storyline, this was embedded into SharePoint and used almost as an interactive PDF with animation as opposed to traditional eLearning.
Video Examples
Here are some examples of work I’ve done in the video space. I used both Adobe Premiere Pro and trusty Microsoft PowerPoint for everything you see.
We needed an impactful overview video of our BRG (Young Professionals Group) with less than a day’s heads up, so I threw together a script, pulled in some graphics, slides, and videos, recorded voiceover and added some royalty-free music, and here’s the result.
I got a chance to use Flicki for the first time and turned around this video from an old LinkedIn post in about 30 minutes. It’s a really neat tool with AI features and stock video, but I kind of love the result. It shows a preview of what development in the L&D space will look like sooner rather than later.
This video is a companion to an expansive training rollout as part of a larger performance management change. This was to be used more as a commercial with a detailed guide distributed to each employee. There were also help videos on the Reflektive website.
Another fun one, this is the intro to my Wiffle Ball League highlight video. Done in Adobe Premiere, I masked each video so the batter and fielder are the same person. Some were easier than others, but it was a fun skill to learn and a nice way to start a video.
The target audience here was shift managers on the verge of completing a longer training program. I needed to create something a little more fun but ultimately inspirational.
